The Peace of God

Last week, we looked at the Holy Spirit. Jesus comforts His disciples by telling them that He was going to send the Holy Spirit, who would abide with them forever. The Spirit was going to teach them all things. He would guide them into truth and help them to remember the teaching of Christ. It is immediately after this that He tells them He is leaving them with Peace. In our day, it is hard to see this as a continuation of His subject, but it is intimately tied to it.
