Standing for the Unborn: The Christian's Duty

I. Why should we stand for the unborn?
A. Science & reason support the humanity of the unborn
B. Scripture teaches the humanity of the unborn & values their lives.
1. God created human life (Gen.1:27; Job10:8-12; Isa.44:2; Psa.139:13-16).
2. God values human life (Deu.19:10; Pro.6:17; Isa.1:15; Jer.22:17; Mat. 5:21; Lev.18:21; 20:1-5; Deu.12:31; Exo.21:22-25).
3. God’s people should stand for human life (Psa.10; Mat.25:31-40; Jam.1:27).
II. How can we stand for the unborn?
A. Properly orient your thinking.
1. Fill your mind with truths.
2. Remove and fight against falsehoods
3. Have courage.
4. Have compassion.
B. Speak for the unborn
1. Speak the truth
a. Abortion is sin against the Creator/King
b. The Creator/King forgives (Psa.103:10-13; Rom.8:1; 1Jo.1:9).
2. Speak lovingly and graciously.
C. Act for the unborn
1. Pray regularly.
2. Volunteer your time.
3. Give financially.
4. Consider adoption & foster care.
