Liberty and Christ

The local church exists for God’s glory and even as Christ's life and work brings glory to God so the church working together in unity to build one another up in Christ will glorify God. This is more than a simplistic following of Christ’s example – rather those who follow Christ as members of his churches have the Scriptures as their rule for faith and practice. Even as the head denied himself to do the will of the Father, so the individual members of the body must deny themselves to do what is pleasing to the Father.
