Walking As We Talk

Grouped with the "pastoral epistles" this letter is one of three sent to individuals who were currently pastoring churches that Paul had established. The letter is important to all Christians because there is no "proprietary pastoral knowledge." Jesus said that what he declared in secret should be shouted from the rooftops. Written at a time of persecution in Rome and of spiritual threat to the church in Ephesus, Paul writes to remind Timothy not to be distracted from the church's task and priorities, and how people ought to conduct themselves in the household of God.
