Promised and Past Mercies a Spur to Prayer

In this final section of the book of Isaiah we have the response of God's people to that promised. The promises given and pleaded then are as relevant for us now, in a day of the conspicuous absence of God's power accompanying his truth. Our own inventions will not serve the church's barreness, only an outpouring of the Spirit can turn the tide.
