Not a Stadium Moment

The story of David and Goliath is almost always trotted out or referred to as an "underdog makes good" moment. That is not what the true narrative shows. Rather it is an account of God using a weak vessel for His glory. That David was a youth of character in contrast to both King Saul and Goliath is true, but his facing a foe who dared insult the Living God was a testament to David's desire to be used of God for God's glory alone.
