Series Mark
61 ( 42 | 19 )
Today we will continue our sermon series in the Gospel of Mark. We will look at the first five verses of Mark 15 where Mark tells us about Jesus' trial before Pilate, the Roman governor (or prefect) of Judea. All four gospels give us their account of Jesus' examination by Pilate, but interestingly, Mark, who usually likes to supply many details, has the briefest account. Nevertheless, we have exactly what the Holy Spirit wants us to have in each gospel. The thing that stands out in Mark's account of Jesus before Pilate is of Jesus' silence before His accusers. Therefore, we will focus on that this morning.
