The pre-eminent Christ

Here is a thrust at the heart of the heresy in Colosse, a devastating counterblow to the whispered assertion, 'Christ is not enough!'

Paul concludes his description of the Son of God's love with the emphatic declaration that the Mediator, Jesus Christ our Lord has pre-eminence in all things.

We consider here the person - he himself, and no other; his status - pre-eminence, sitting in the highest seat; and, the scope of that pre-eminence - it extends to all things.
