Perfected Obedience Through Suffering

When Christ offered Himself on the altar of the cross He was heard for the holiness and character of His life and nature. The Father delivered Him from death and we are delivered in Him. Even though Christ is the Son of God, He is not exempt from suffering if He is to redeem God's covenant people. Being perfect in His obedience Christ became the author of a perfect eternal salvation to all who believe on Christ. He gave us a perfect righteousness before the Law and a perfect justification before the throne of the King of glory.
