Daniel 8 is one of the those chapters that is easy to skip over about its importance because it seems weird to the modern reader. That shouldn't bother us; it was weird to Daniel when he first got the vision. In it we see two things: the naming for the first time of the 3rd worldwide empire, and two, a preview in history of the Antichrist who will come in the future.
