Fight on in the Battle

335

Christians, whatever our age are never retired from battle. We are still required to keep on fighting the fight of faith. Still with the need for vigilance, we must fight on.

We have not to take up arms in the warfare that we are waging; it is not a literal battle. The Kingdom of God is not advanced using the weapons of this world. Ours is a spiritual conflict. We must endeavour to persuade, exhort and indeed pray for the unbeliever, that the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ might shine upon them.

What ‘fronts' are we required to fight upon?

1: Within our own souls. Besetting sins, fearfulness, doubt, despondency, weakness, stubbornness, unbelief and pride, all affect even the Christian.

2: The Home Front can be most discouraging of all, with families, children and loved ones that we pray for. Never give up, pray on.

3: The workplace is also a place where as Christians we face many challenging situations. Remember God is with you.

4: The church front is also another area of potential conflict and difficulty. We need to ‘hold the line', uphold Biblical standards, and contend for the faith.

5: The battle for hearts and minds is also on the streets. This world hates the Christian and turns it back upon the truth.

Have compassion, maintain your witness, continue with your outreach, keep preaching, keep teaching God's Truth to this needy world. God is with us: let us make it our aim to advance on all fronts. Remember, don't lose heart.
