The First Christmas (Part 1)

We turn our attention to the celebration of Advent this week on "Encounter God's Truth."
In this classic Christmas message, Old Testament scholar Dr. John Whitcomb introduced a series called, "The Eternal Son—Our Savior." He focused first on the glimpses that the Bible gives us into the Person and work of Christ in the centuries before His birth.
Dr. Whitcomb delivered this teaching live to a Christmas Eve congregation at Bayside Community Church in Tampa, Fla. We thank them for generously allowing us to bring these messages to you.
Host Wayne Shepherd also inquired of Dr. Whitcomb how Christ, the light of the world, impacted the darkness that existed in the world—and specifically in Israel—at the time of His first coming.
