Parable of the Talents

A man’s goods represent what he has worked to acquire. The goods Christ referred to were the saving benefits He worked out by His obedience in life and death. His blood is "the blood of the everlasting covenant" (Heb 13:20). Through the covenant of grace God saved His people and left us a word to proclaim in every generation.
