"WSC Q35: Sanctification"
Q. 35 What is sanctification?
A. Sanctification is the work of God's free grace, whereby we are renewed in the whole man after the image of God, and are enabled more and more to die unto sin, and live unto righteousness.
If we have been enlisted into God's service, then we are to serve Him from now on! You are to see yourself as God's servant now (v. 11). You are not working for sin anymore (v. 12). You are now to present yourself continually to the Lord, to do His will (v. 13). Verse 15 brings us back to the original question: Shall we sin because we are under grace? The answer is "Certainly not." The One we obey is our true master (v. 16).
