Return to Bethel

Pastor Dale Thornton preaches this sermon in a state of surprise. He was surprised by the church recognizing the 60th anniversary of his entering the ministry. He wasn't expecting the celebration and hoopla that accompanied the day. He brings an appropriate message to remind us that we need to put away the things that distract us from a close relationship with the Lord. We are to return to unhindered fellowship with our heavenly Father. And as Jacob's name was changed to Israel, a fellowship with God transforms us into new people with a desire to worship. May God grant us to return to Bethel -- the house of God.
