An Unshakable Kingdom, Part Two

Last week we looked at Mount Sinai and what it represented. The Apostle to the Hebrews listed 6 items, six being the number of man in his incompleteness and weakness.

Next week we will look at Mount Zion and the eight items that describe it, eight being the number of the new creation.

In this message, we are considering the emphasis. The tense for "You are come is present, not future. We are already in the new creation spiritually. We wait for the resurrection of the body so that we may fully experience the new creation as represented by Zion.

It is interesting that Zion was not in Israel's possession until David took it after being made king of Israel. This has great prophetic significance with respect to God's bringing all things together and fully renewing the creation when Jesus comes again.
