Surprised by Suffering?

You must not regard suffering for the name of Christ as something unusual. All Christians will suffer for Christ's sake to one degree or another. God sends you these trials to prove the genuineness of your faith. Be certain that you have not brought these difficulties on yourself by being wicked or obnoxious. But you can rejoice in the midst of suffering because the Spirit of glory rest upon you.
