Unashamed of the Gospel

Aim: To boldly embrace, believe, and proclaim Christ's good news.

Exegesis: We are to be unashamed of the gospel's simplicity. Faith in Christ brings us God's forgiveness (v. 16) and favor (v. 17). We are to be unashamed of the gospel's candor. It tells us of God's holiness (vv. 18-19), our responsibility (vv. 20-21), and our depravity (vv. 22-23).

Key verse: v. 16 ''For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.''
