The Godly Posture of Gratitude

Thanksgiving is a national holiday rooted in the rich tradition of the Pilgrims. While the Pilgrim settling of America is a familiar story, few have an appreciation for the depth of biblical understanding that permitted these Christians to endure great hardship while maintaining a thankful posture toward our God of mercy. While the whole world is duty bound to give God thanks in and for all circumstances, the Christian has an even greater reason to be grateful because God is conforming His people to the image of His Son. Our forefathers recognized this and gave glory to God in all things.
