The Apostate - Temporary & Unfruitful

Why is a renewal to repentance impossible for those who fall away? (Hebrews 6:6a) The impossibility lies in the nature of the crime of apostasy. God has declared the impossibility for those who so dishonor His Son. (6:6b) What window lets in light to aid our understanding of this sobering description of apostasy? The agricultural language of 6:7-8 is the immediate answer and, for four reasons cited, the Parable of the Sower and the Soils is another answer. The latter is expounded and applied.
