The Forgiven Forgivers

"I believe in the forgiveness of sin." This confession is at the heart of Christianity. We are the recipients of the amazing grace of God. In his holiness and justice through the atoning sacrifice of His Son- our Savior the Father removes our debt, pardons our transgressions and adopts us into his family. He justifies us- forgiving all our sin and crediting the very righteousness of Jesus to us! Yet he teaches us to pray forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. What role does forgiveness play in the Christian life? As the greatly forgiven by the sheer mercy and grace of God we are to show forgiveness to others. We are the forgiven forgivers.
