Where are You?

Brief Sermon Overview:"But the Lord God called to the man and said, 'Where are you?'" (Genesis 3:9).

God was not calling Adam just to rebuke him, but to speak incredibly kind and thrilling words of love and hope.

Today God asks every person the same question: "Where are you?" He speaks to us through our consciences and through our circumstances. He speaks through creation and through his Word, the Bible. God has many voices.

Some people try to hide behind the trees of intellectual doubts and questions. They think that their questions are profound and unanswerable, but they're only hiding from God. Others try to hide behind possessions, pleasures, careers, or even religious rituals. But God knows exactly where they are.

Pastor Donnelly simply and earnestly urges every man and woman and every boy and girl to hear a voice today—the voice of God: "Where are you?"
