The Power and Wisdom of God - The Importance of Preaching the Cross

Irresistable Grace (also called Effectual Calling) is a doctrine that does not seem too popular today.

Although a slightly different version of this message was first preached by Jon to another church in November while they were visitining in California, Jon wanted to present the congregation in Scammon Bay with important Biblical truths, especially with the present circumstances and health situation that will require the Cardwell's to leave Scammon Bay very soon (for that information of Jon's illness, see "Though He Slay Me" delivered on 12/9/07).

Concentrating on vv.23-24, Jon presents the wisdom and power of God through the preaching of Christ crucified.
