We've seen the attack made by the Pharisees on Christ's disciples, as they plucked ears of corn for their breakfast. Now they've arrived at the Synagogue, the Pharisees are out to trap and condemn Christ, to see if He would heal on the Sabbath. We learn here of the necessity of mercy, even on the Sabbath.
