The Theological Basis of Soli Deo Gloria

God's supreme glory is at stake in the salvation of His people. If they are saved by their goodness or good works, they have a reason to boast. But if they are saved completely by the sovereign grace of God through faith in Christ, then "boasting is excluded". This is the gospel which is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes in it.

Pastor Ryan shows clearly the gospel in Romans, which "demonstrates God's righteousness from faith to faith" (1:17). This sermon is a great tool for understanding the basic gospel, so that we can go out into this lost world and preach it, to praise of the glory of God's grace (Eph. 1:6, 12, 14).
