Swallowed Up By God's Wrath

What do we do when we are confronted with the horror of God's fury unleashed and in the exercise of His sovereign rule He becomes like an enemy to us? Where can we go? To whom can we turn? That's the dilemma God's people Israel faced when Jerusalem was destroyed by Him through the Babylonians and what Lamentations 2:1-22 begins to answer for us in our need.

1. Torn down by the Lord on the day of
   His wrath (2:1-10)

2. Overwhelming grief for children
   dying in the streets (2:11-19)

3. A heart cry to the Lord to look and
   consider (2:20-22)
