Just as Abraham was set right with God (justified) by faith in what God promised him, so it is for us. Every human being desperately needs to be set right with God - to have real life and to experience the real purpose for which God made us. That requires a remedy for our estrangement with God. Paul tells right here in Romans 4 how that remedy works.
