When you didn't ask for that

At Christmas time kids all over make up their wish lists, things that they want and will ask Santa for. Mom and dad will do their best to get them what they want but there will be other things that they buy that are not on the list and some things will be substitutions for those items that were really wanted. We don't always get what we want. God works that way as well. He wants to better us but will sometimes give us what we ask for just to humble us and get us back on track with Him.
