Failure to Launch

Most of us recognize that salvation takes us off the road to hell and places us firmly onto the road to heaven. However, is that it? Is there anything else that we should be cognizant of, as we continue the rest of our lives on this earth? After all, if the sole purpose of salvation was to save us from hell, then exactly what purpose would there be for God to keep us here after we receive salvation? There must be other purposes.
