What Makes It Profitable?

“For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword...” (Hebrews 4:12)

Good news sees the word of God as:

Living (ALIVE)
Powerful (ABLE)
Sharp (ACTIVE)

This makes it profitable/beneficial/helpful

It’s ALIVE:
It is life... it has life... it transfers its life to us.
God’s word transfers the RIGHT kind of life.. (John 6:63 the words I speak to you is spirit and life) like blood to our vital organs and all of our flesh).

It’s ABLE:
It is effective...
God’s word produces the RIGHT kind of response and results to life’s test, trials and troubles.

It’s ACTIVE:
It’s keen... it’s wise... it’s discerning...
God’s word equips/furnishes the RIGHT kind of insight and wisdom on life.

God’s news transfers its life to me.

God’s news produces its results/effect in me.

God’s news furnishes its wisdom through me. ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Life, results and wisdom are found in God’s word when it’s believed.

The word of good is ONLY good news for them that that trust... (Micah 2:7 ; Hebrews 4:2)
