God who Remembers His Own

God remembered Noah and all those with him in the ark. He brought them through the flood and into a new world. Their salvation was of the Lord, as ours, yet by means that, at first glance, seem ordinary. The dove brought a sign to Noah, even as the Spirit brings to us news of the new world coming. And the new world was secured by a sacrifice, even as Christ's sacrifice makes the new world secure to all his people.
