The Night Watchman!

Isaiah 21:11&12 is a most intriguing text:

'The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, ‘Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?' 12 The watchman said, ‘The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come'.”

In this message,

• I take Israel and Edom to represent the two great classes into which all mankind may be divided: the saved and the lost - believers and unbelievers;

• and I take the Watchman to picture the Lord Jesus Christ, the great Prophet of the Church.
