Our Security

Paul has just finished exhorting the Philippians unto kingdom living by prompting them to long for Christ and to endeavor to be holy and pure. He gives them the motivation for this by telling them that we shall be like Christ. We shall see Him face to face. We shall be conformed to His image and thus shall forever be with the Lord! And we shall enter into the joy of our Master. This is such an incredible reward. Yet Paul could not end his exhortation to the Philippians without assuring them of the certainty of their reward. Our text is that assurance.
