People Plot Vain Things

This Sunday we will study Acts 5:12-5:27. God demonstrates the power that He has given to the church by many signs and wonders. It caused to reactions, just as it does today. To some, it caused fear and respect so they stayed away from the church. For others, it cause great faith and we see the church continue to grow. Isn't it a blessing that at all times God knows what His bride needs in order to strengthen and grow her? The Sadducees respond with the same response they had toward Jesus, jealousy. But they cannot overcome the power of the Lord, as the angel frees the apostles from prison and they continue boldly to profess the truth. May we have their boldness that they had in the midst of persecution when we don't even have persecution.
