Better Than Gold

'What could be better than gold? According to Proverbs, wisdom is better. Our hearts can easily be misled to thinking that we can find happiness and peace in riches and worldly things. This morning; however, Pastor Simpson brought a message from Proverbs 16 beginning at verse 16 helping us learn scriptural wisdom. We can speak of our own wisdom as every man is right in his own eyes, but we should be careful to check our wisdom as it compares to the Word of God. Many of us could use a healthy dose of humility as we think ourselves wise; for God has established the standard of wisdom, and to rebel against it is foolishness! God never intended for him to be happy with his own resources; instead, He wants us to depend upon the Lord and His provision. The fool rejects instruction... Proverbs 1:7 says, ''but fools despise wisdom and instruction.'' Where are you? How well do you or I accept instruction? May God help all His people find wisdom in our day of folly and follishbsas

Two things required to handle the matters in your life: wisdom & maturity.
