The Reign of Christ

Aim: To be expectant, cheerful, and victorious churchmen—all because of Christ.

Doctrine: From the established and blessed church Christ rules the world. As for human descent, Jesus came through Zerubbabel's line, and He (Jesus) would be, ''the Priest on His throne.''

Exegesis: The nature of the reign of Christ: God's second ''shaking'' follows the Savior's ''residence'' in His temple (church) (vv. 20-21); the Messiah's kingdom conquers all the nations (v. 22); Jesus Christ is crowned as God's anointed King (v. 23).

Further application: Good encouragement for today's church: is Christ amongst us, His body? If so, then live confidently in His world.
