Part II: Wretched Man That I Am!

The Christian is a divided man.
When I want to do right, evil lies close at hand (21)
I delight in the law of God in my inner being (22)
But I see in my members another law (23)
Waging war against the law of my mind (23b)
Making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members (23c)
Wretched man that I am! (24)
Who will deliver me from this body of death? (24)
Thanks to God through Jesus Christ our Lord (25a)
I am a divided man (25)
With my mind I serve the law of God (25a)
With my flesh I serve the law of sin (25b)
