Love and Pity Moved Him - Pages 38-41 from Washer's Book, 'Journey into the Gospel'

11,057 ( 9,134 | 1,923 )

The measure of Christ's love is that He gave Himself for us. There can be no greater expression or illustration of love than this? How does this prove once again that the motive for the Son's coming was not the merits or worth of men, but the Son's love?

For the great love with which He loved us, He freely gave Himself up to the cruelest of deaths to suffer the full extent of God's wrath against sin.

-Ephesians 5:2
-John 15:13
