A. The message
1. It's a curse

1. God did not tolerate sin, and He punished those in sin
2. God did not abandon those in sin

2. God will not abandon those in sin
3. God takes ALL sin seriously, do we?
A woman in a basket (v. 5-11)
A. The message
1. God will remove sin (wickedness)
2. God is always in complete control
B. The meaning of the vision for God's people then
1. They were being given a glimpse into the future, when God would send sin away, never to trouble his people again
C. The meaning of the vision for God's people now
1. Wicked things are happening
2. God is in control, even of sin; God will prevail
D. Application:
1. How does the fact that God is in control affect our thoughts on the current political arena?
a. God is in control
b. We have no need to worry or despair
c. Psalm 47:7; Daniel 2:20-21; Proverbs 21:11; Romans 8:28
God has dealt with sin through Jesus
A. Jesus has taken God's judgment (Romans 3:23-24)
B. Jesus has conquered sin and its power (Romans 6:9; I Cor 15:14,17, 20-22; Rev 21:4)
