Faith of Our Fathers

Each generation in a family tends to be less spiritual than the preceding generation. It is human nature to be in spiritual decline. Rarely do you find a family that remains faithful to the Lord for many generations. Yet, in Jeremiah 35, the family of the Rechabites are still keeping the instructions of a faithful man 5 generations earlier! As we strive to produce spiritual faithfulness in our families, we cannot ignore this valuable example. Pastor Dale Thornton comes from such a family. And already the next 3 generations of his family are active in church. And he serves with son and grandson on the staff of First Baptist Church Las Colinas -- a family integrated church in the Baptist Missionary Association.
