God's Call

There is a pattern that takes place throughout the book of Judges. God's people, the Israelites serve God and they are blessed, then they begin to sin and break the commandments that were handed down from God through Moses.
In Deuteronomy God made a covenant with the Israelites.(Deuteronomy 11:26-29) When they begin to worship other gods, God allows the nations around them to attack them and the blessing turns to the curse.
We often see this pattern played out in the lives of believers. Those who have trusted Christ as their savior, live in God's will for a time and seem to experience the blessings of God, but then begin to pull away.
