60 Extreme Makeover: Church Edition

Two questions the original recipients were asking and that we must ask.

1)Are the persecutions ever going to end?
2) Is the fight worth it?

To answer this biblically, we must not seperate the temporal from the eternal.

Does life get better? Absolutely yes.

It is the similarites between the temporal and the eternal that encourage believers to persevere. Where do we see those similarities?

1. What we will experience perfectly in eternity, we experience in foreshadowing now. (verses 1-4)

A) The presence of God. (vs. 3)
B) The Comfort of the Spirit (vs. 4)

2. What we experience in part now, we will experience in full, in eternity.

A) Thirst-Quenching
B) Adoption

Summary: Philippians 1:6, "He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
