Philippians: Following Christ - Together

It’s all about following and leaving. We pursue a deeper walk with Christ as we follow in the footsteps of more mature believers, and leave footprints for others who follow us. Are you following anyone’s footsteps? Are youdeliberately leading others to follow yours? “Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example.” Philippians 3:17 (NLT) The simplicity of making disciples sometimes gets lost in our age of quick information and myriad Bible helps. The Christian life is not meant to be solitary, or one of attending an event on Sundays, but walking with other believers in the daily flow of life. If we’re not careful, life in Christ becomes a mere private matter, rather than a lively life shared in close relationships. Paul reminded the Philippians that they needed each other as they all matured in their faith.
