Bound To Be Thankful

Thanksgiving Day

1. Paul is thankful for people - this is customary in his epistles and appropriate in light of God's kind providence in bringing them into our lives.
2. Paul is thankful for electing love - in particular he is thankful for these Christians whom God has loved, chosen and saved.
3. Paul is thankful for holiness - further he is thankful that God has separated them from the world and is conforming them to Christ's image.
4. Paul is thankful for belief - that is, that they received and believed the truth
5. Paul is thankful for hope - that is, that all believers will enjoy glory together in Christ's presence.
