Seeing that Jesus was scourged, we took the time this morning to clarify the meaning of the the phrase "by his stripes/wounds/scourging" you are healed, as explained in 1 Peter 2:24, then we go on to look at the humiliation of Christ and the weakness of Christ as Simon, served as a model for us to take up our cross and follow Jesus.
